The Chairman's Voice

Dear Visitor!

I would like to welcome you to the IMIA website and trust that you will find our new set-up, which has been put into operation more attractive and easier to browse than the previous one. A clearer structure and an efficient search function should make it easier to find information.

The number of topics elaborated within IMIA through papers or presentations by guests or through the external papers listed is growing every year. The topics presently being elaborated by our working groups can be viewed under Annual Conferences / Working Groups. At IMIA we are always looking for new subjects that our visitors might be interested in, and if you would like to make suggestions as to subjects to be dealt with by IMIA for the benefit of the Engineering Insurance market, you are cordially invited to use the Feedback and Suggestions area to advise us accordingly (please elaborate on your specific interests). In making a request you should be aware that IMIA Members strictly adhere to Anti Trust regulations, and any information, which would not comply with these regulations, will not be supplied.

A lot of information of great variety can also be accessed beyond our own website, by use of the numerous links provided in our Library section. Please view the Topical Areas structuring these links.

You may also be interested in viewing the IMIA statistics on Engineering Insurance business in our member countries. Please note that this presentation is updated to show the past year's figures following our annual conference usually held in September of each year. In addition you may be interested to see the Country Reports issued by our member countries at the same time.

We have a number of examples of typical Engineering insurance losses on record. We are always keen to include new claims of specific interest and if you would like to report on one, please advise the Secretary or use our Feedback and Suggestions form.

To learn more about IMIA and its Members, their work and roles etc., please view the information under the Section titled Members. The sub-section titled Members’ Area however is accessible to Members only.
