Sunniberg Bridge

This impressive and elegantly curved multi-span cable stayed bridge forms part of a new road bypassing the city of Klosters/GR, Switzerland. The total length of the bridge is 528m with a main span of 140m. It crosses the valley at a height of 60m (read more about this interesting bridge and the construction method (in German language) here).

The bridge was designed by Prof. Dr. sc. techn. Dr. Eng. hc. Christian Menn, a world-renowned bridge designer and professor of structural engineering at the federal institute of technology (ETH) in Zurich from 1971 - 1992. Prof. Menn is one of the worlds leading bridge designers and has substantially contributed to the development of modern concrete bridge design and construction.
