IMIA has supported a SBS Swiss Business School research project earlier this year. Led by Tony Buckle, the research is focusing on underwriting during the years 2013 – 2017. 

Tony and his team have collated the results of the survey and have shared the initial results and analysis with the IMIA EC as a consequence the EC felt the topic sufficiently interesting to invite Tony to present a webinar to the global Engineering underwriting community.

How did Engineering underwriters perceive the market between 2013 – 2017?

 What were their main motivations to write business at the time?

 Did underwriters believe that the business they wrote at the time would be profitable?

 Did they feel personal ownership of the underwriting decisions they were making?
